As the Operations Lead for our Enterprise Data Warehouse, you will oversee the end-to-end management and optimization of or Operate data platform engineering team. This role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure our data warehouse is resilient, efficient, reliable, and scalable.
What will your typical day look like?
Key Responsibilities
Data Warehouse Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Databricks data warehouse, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
Implement best practices for data management, including ETL processes, data storage, and retrieval.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies for data integration, processing, and analytics that align with business objectives. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks. Implement enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Mentorship, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Data Governance: Enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and external vendors, to deliver integrated solutions.
Incident Management: Respond to and resolve data-related incidents; meeting SLA targets and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
About the Team
The Information Technology Services (ITS) team is seeking to fill a position for an experienced Enterprise Data Warehouse Lead to oversee and manage the data platform engineering team.
