In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground power network infrastructure. You’ll work as part of a team that ensures essential services are restored quickly and safely, particularly during outages, upgrades, and emergency events. This is a hands-on, outdoor role where no two days are the same - you’ll be working across a range of sites and conditions to keep the network operating at its best. Ngā Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills We are looking for candidates with EWRB registration or equivalent assessment, along with: * New Zealand registered Line Mechanic, or Streetlight Level Standard qualification * Current full Class 1 driver’s licence * Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively when required * Strong commitment to safety, including completing daily safety documentation, job sheets, and timesheets accurately * Flexibility to travel and work away from home when required * Willingness to participate in an on-call roster for outage response * Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach * Ability to work effectively within a team environment * Basic computer skills and confidence using workplace systems Me pēhea te tono | How to apply If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and be part of a team that keeps New Zealand’s power network running safely and reliably, apply now.
