ITSM Release Management Analyst Summary: The Technology Division at BCS is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and support of BCS applications such as FAST, Giro, CTS, PayNow, SGQR, TFR, eGIRO, and its critical infrastructure. The division ensures operational stability, regulatory compliance, and service reliability. The IT Service Management Team supports critical business services (FAST, GIRO, CTS, PayNow) by delivering resilient, high-quality IT services through effective incident, change, problem, and asset management. The team operates at the core of IT operations to support both business continuity and customer satisfaction. The Release Management Analyst is responsible for managing all technology-related releases and ensuring they are reviewed according to the release management process. The role includes running release review meetings, reviewing release statuses, and managing the release calendar. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate releases, including scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication. - Work with development teams to understand release requirements and dependencies. - Ensure role segregation is maintained per BCS software release management policy and standard. - Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure thorough testing and quality assurance. - Coordinate with operations, technology, and external teams for smooth deployment and rollback planning. - Manage and mitigate release risks, issues, and conflicts. - Communicate release plans and status updates to stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and industry standards. - Continuously improve release management processes and practices. - Prepare reports for senior stakeholders on the list of releases and associated risk categories. - Collaborate with project managers to integrate release management into project plans. - Foster a culture of resilience and continuous improvement with a risk mindset. - Perform analysis to identify trends. - Track and report all Release Management related KPIs. - Work with technical teams to perform post-implementation reviews for failed releases, failed rollbacks/fallbacks, and releases that resulted in incidents. Requirements: Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. - Minimum 3 years of experience in release management, preferably within the payment or financial services industry. - Proven experience coordinating and managing multiple concurrent releases. Skills and Knowledge: - Good understanding of ITIL, IT Service Management frameworks, software development life cycle, and release management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps). - Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLCs) and release management methodologies. - Experience with release management tools, code repositories, and DevSecOps pipelines (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow, AWS Code Pipeline, GitHub, Bitbucket). - ServiceNow experience is a plus. - Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate complex matters concisely. - Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively. - Self-motivated and able to work independently. Professional Certifications: - Certification in ITIL 4 is preferred.
