JOB DETAILS

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ITU or Complex Care Nurse to support a male client with complex health needs, including a tracheostomy, in his own home in Farnham, Surrey. This is a 1:1 role providing consistent, high-quality care in a comfortable and familiar environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing care, including full tracheostomy management and emergency tracheostomy changes.
  • Maintain tracheostomy patency and hygiene; perform routine and emergency tube changes.
  • Support respiratory needs including suctioning and oxygen therapy.
  • Monitor clinical condition and respond promptly to any signs of deterioration.
  • Liaise with family, carers, and the wider MDT to ensure safe, coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate care records and follow CQC/NMC standards.
  • Provide person-centred care that respects client dignity and independence.

Essential Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RNC) with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in ITU, HDU, or complex care.
  • Proven competency in tracheostomy care including emergency trache change.
  • Skilled in suctioning, PEG feeding, and medication administration.
  • Confident in emergency response and clinical decision-making.
  • Up-to-date mandatory training (client-specific training provided).
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Full UK driving licence.
