JOB DESCRIPTION

Client is currently undergoing a large IT Service Management (ITSM) system replacement project.
This role is critical to supporting the configuration of Ivanti for an automated and scalable IT asset tracking.
We are seeking an experienced Database Analyst IV to support design, development, testing, and implementation of data structures required for hardware and software asset tracking, purchasing workflows, and configuration item (CI) management. This role will provide technical expertise in translating legacy manual processes into structured, normalized datasets—supporting data modeling, cleansing, migration, and process alignment to enable automation, workflows, and reporting within Ivanti’s ITSM and ITAM platforms.

  • Hands-on ETL experience migrating from legacy ITAM data to Ivanti.
  • Experience mapping legacy records to Ivanti object structures.
  • Experience with data cleansing, validation, standardization, and purging as part of an Ivanti implementation.
  • Proven ability to detect and resolve data anomalies and discrepancies.
  • In-depth understanding of Ivanti data mapping and platform capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices for data modeling, cleansing, and migration.
  • Demonstrated experience in relational database design, development, and analysis.
  • Strong SQL skills (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with CI relationships and CMDB structures in an ITSM/ITAM context.
  • Ability to clearly document schema designs, data definitions, and mapping logic.
  • Experience working in large public sector environments.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and work collaboratively with state staff.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

In addition, the ideal candidate will have skills and experience in:

  • Ivanti ITSM and Neurons for Discovery/Configuration.
  • Familiarity with CA Service Desk Manager (SDM) and Asset Portfolio Management (APM).
  • Knowledge of ITIL v4 practices, especially Asset Management, Configuration Management, and Change Enablement.
  • Experience with CMDB best practices and automated discovery tools.
  • Understanding of service catalog structure and line-item-level procurement workflows.
  • Experience working on state government or similar public sector IT projects.
  • Building and managing scalable, clean, and auditable datasets in support of enterprise ITSM and ITAM solutions.
  • Experience performing knowledge transfer / mentoring.
