At Somerset Passenger Solutions (SPS), we’re proud to provide transport for thousands of workers to and from Hinkley Point C—Europe’s biggest construction site. Operating 24/7, we play a critical role in keeping the project moving, safely and efficiently.
We’re growing fast and now looking for a dedicated Day Supervisor to help lead and support our team based at J24.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

As part of working at a nuclear licensed site, all employees must successfully pass Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) screening and obtain a DBS certificate. This process ensures the integrity and reliability of everyone working on this high-profile project.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE: WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a J24 Day Supervisor, you’ll play a key part in delivering a safe, reliable, and customer-focused transport service. You’ll coordinate driver movements, oversee daily operations, and support both our teams and passengers to ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll use technology to manage schedules and service flow, and you’ll be the first point of contact for queries, issues, and on-the-ground decision making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote and champion a strong safety culture through positive conversations and actions.
  • Manage daily operational challenges, including scheduling, vehicle logistics, and driver support.
  • Proactively resolve issues and escalate concerns when necessary, offering practical solutions.
  • Oversee operations across SPS and HPC locations to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Accurately document and report incidents, passenger numbers, and vehicle allocations.
  • Maintain clear communication with Lead Supervisor and team members throughout the shift.
  • Foster a positive team environment by actively engaging with colleagues and offering support.
  • Uphold and embody SPS’s Vision, Mission and Values in every interaction.
