Jail Officers will work on shift under the supervision of a jail sergeant. The jail officer will maintain safety and security of the facility, staff, and inmates.

• Provide safety and security in the jail environment
• Patrol all areas of the jail
• Maintain key and lock control
• Work in a Control Tower, open doors, log all inmate movement, ect.
• Escort inmates to court, medical appointments, work details, ect.
• Shakedown housing units, and other areas of the jail for contraband
• Keep records and paperwork in order for inmates files
• Supervise inmates during every day activities
• Pass meals to inmates during meal pass

QUALIFICATIONS

• Security experience
• Conflict management skills
• Knowledge of CCTV systems
• First aid certification
• Law enforcement background

• Proficient in report writing
