Privacy Policy 2026-2027 JAIS Part Time PE Teacher Introduction Established under the auspices of the American Embassy in 2001, the Jerusalem American International school is a branch of The Walworth Barbour American International School in Israel (WBAIS). It is an MSA and locally accredited, fully independent, co-educational Pre-K - 9 international school offering an American program in an International setting. JAIS JAIS is situated in a residential area of Jerusalem in the Goldstein youth village. We have renovated classrooms and a new yard as well as having access to communal facilities such as the swimming pool and gym. The Successful Candidate Will Have Fluency in English A teacher license applicable to teach Sport and the appropriate level of first aid training according to the Ministry of Education’s requirements. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a teacher. Experience and success in planning, teaching, assessing all aspects of the sport curriculum preferably, according to the American standards-based curriculum. Experience and success teaching Sport with all the necessary communications with students, parents and coworkers Excellent practice in differentiation and inclusion within the lessons and activities for students with individual needs and English Language Learners Innovative and engaging educator Team player with excellent communication skills in person and in all media High professional standards in his/ her work ethic and interactions Enthusiasm and passion for teaching and learning Commitment to the mission of the Jerusalem American International School Ability to manage a classroom of diverse learners enabling participation and growth, regardless of a student’s ability in, or passion for sports. Ability to recognize and support the educational and emotional needs of the students Ability to model and teach communication and conflict resolution skills Excellent classroom management skills Ability and flexibility to teach over a wide age range, in different-sized classes and groupings Ability to teach sports skills whilst nurturing a sense of camaraderie, fair play, and team spirit in students.
