Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef who has proven experience cooking Jamaican cuisines to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, managing a team of kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food to our customers. Duties:
- Manage and supervise all aspects of food production and preparation
- Create and develop innovative menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock control
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, and safety protocols
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes and menu items
- Excellent communication skills
