Description

The Janitorial Cleaner, under the direction of the Janitorial Supervisor or Manager, is responsible for performing janitorial duties for buildings and related areas. Quality customer service skills are required. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential. Job Responsibilities: * Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs. * Clean and sanitize bathrooms. * Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms. * Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas. * Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary. * Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered. * Cleaning windowsills and windows. * Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner. * Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. * Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals. * Wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times. * Maintain vending closets in a clean, organized and safe manner. * Other routine maintenance duties as assigned. Key Interactions: * Engage with leaders and stakeholders. * Engage with customers, visitors and clients. * Collaborate with other employees. Requirements (Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Education and/or Experience): * Six months or more of related customer service and/or facility services related experience. * Valid Driver's License is a plus. * Floor care experience is a plus. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Good client/customer service skills. * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. * Attention to detail. Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. * Attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work in various physical positions, including standing, sitting, walking, bending and repetitive movement.
