Description Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored. Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed. Assist in setting up and cleaning up after events or meetings. Perform special cleaning tasks as needed. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors. Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, light switches, and elevator buttons. Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the facility manager. Adhere to safety procedures and use appropriate cleaning products and equipment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies. Wear protective gear and follow protocols for handling cleaning chemicals. Report to work at the scheduled time, work as scheduled and is seldom absent from work. Requirements Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Previous experience in janitorial or custodial services is a plus. Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Knowledge of or ability to learn how to handle and dispose of biohazardous waste/materials properly required Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move objects as needed. Education/Experience/Certifications/Licenses Education - High school graduate or equivalent preferred Typical Physical and Mental Demands/Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing facility and occasionally seated in an office. May involve working under deadlines. Requires: broad range of physical and mental activities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position: 2nd shift hours Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12:00am + every other Saturday. You will be required to stand for 5.5+ hours/day, walk for 5+ hours/day, constant overhead reach, forward reach, climb, bend, kneel, squat, stoop, use manual dexterity, make position changes, push/pull with arms, wear protective equipment, perform repetitive motion, maintain physical endurance, maintain attention to detail, use memory/recall, communicate effectively, demonstrate adaptability, hear clearly, use depth perception, visual acuity, frequent engage in problem-solving, twist, push/pull with legs and arms, lift/carry 5–50lbs., and use color vision.
