Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time night janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in our office facility located in Wayne, Michigan. This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent evening work in a quiet, professional environment. Key Responsibilities: · Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, break rooms, and common areas · Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners · Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in common areas and offices · Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, counters, and windowsills · Wipe down and disinfect high touch surfaces (doorknobs, handrails, etc.) · Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper · Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are stored properly · Clean glass doors, entryways, and internal windows as needed · Respond to routine cleaning requests from staff or supervisors. · Secure the facility upon completion of shift Deep Cleaning Rotation (biweekly or monthly): · Dust and clean high or hard to reach surfaces (vents, light fixtures, ceiling corners door trim, etc.) · Clean and disinfect office chairs, partitions, and under desk areas · Perform detailed cleaning of kitchen/break room appliances Requirements: · Ability to work independently and follow a routine schedule · Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness · Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks and requires long periods of standing · Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Preferences: · Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or office setting · High school diploma or equivalent Work Hours: · Start Time: 6:00 PM · Days: Monday through Friday · Shift Length: Short evening shifts (exact duration to be discussed during interview) Compensation: · Competitive hourly wage based on experience · Opportunities for additional hours or responsibilities
