JOB SUMMARY:

The Janitor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, including floors, restrooms, common areas, offices, and outdoor spaces. This role involves performing routine cleaning and janitorial tasks to provide a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Good physical condition and ability to stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.).
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in various areas, including hallways, offices, and staircases.
  • Empty trash bins and ensure waste is disposed of appropriately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and other fixtures.
  • Clean and maintain outdoor areas (if applicable), including sidewalks, entrances, and parking lots.
  • Restock cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies are running low.
  • Report maintenance issues (e.g., broken equipment, leaks) to the supervisor for prompt resolution.
  • Ensure that cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform any other cleaning or maintenance-related duties as requested.
