SUMMARY: The Janitorial Associate will observe all safety regulations and ensure that all GMP (good manufacturing practices) standards are met while maintaining company restrooms, break rooms, and locker rooms. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub assigned areas. Perform all cleaning tasks on the master cleaning schedule. Clean windows and appliances. Replenish restroom and breakroom supplies as necessary. Empty wastebaskets and recycle bins. Report major repairs to the supervisor. Cary out frequencies and responsibilities in the Master Cleaning Schedule. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required. One year of related experience and training. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Employees must be able to multitask. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for an entire shift Ability to do repetitive motion work No food allergies Exposure to constant loud sounds Exposure to continuous or intermediate dusty areas Exposure to varying temperatures WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold, extreme heat; the risk of electric shock; and vibration. WORK SCHEDULE: This position will operate on the afternoon shift, 11:00 am to 8:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, on Friday. However, the employee must be flexible and able to work other shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed to meet the company's requirements.
