KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Foster, promote and be accountable for a positive and safe work culture.
  • Lead by example; join our Janitorial Associates in cleaning, and maintaining our client’s facility. Provide guidance to Janitorial Associates and direct team members to ensure the scope of work is completed on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that that services are performed according to service specifications and scheduling while exceeding client expectations.
  • Collaborate with our Operations Lead and VP of Operations to address client inquiries and requests while providing daily updates via phone and email.
  • Be an equal-business partner; join the leadership Team in staying up to date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Conduct facility quality inspections and support the VP of Operations Manager with the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Assist with employee relations activities such as scheduling, coaching, payroll, performance management and offboarding.
  • Participate in continuous waste management by emptying and maintaining waste containers.
  • Clean glass surfaces such as mirrors and windows.
  • Maintain all flooring, guest and freight elevators, stairwells and exterior facility entrances by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Clean and sanitize fixtures and designated areas such as restrooms, hallways and common areas.
  • Refill soap dispensers and restock consumables such as toilet paper and paper towel.
  • Report any malfunctions and repair needs relating to restrooms, elevators, waste containers and alarm systems to the VP of Operations.
  • Lead health and safety, security and cleanliness initiatives.
  • Maintain and use a variety of janitorial equipment and tools.
  • Manage the maintenance of all janitorial equipment on-site.
  • Participate and contribute to ongoing learning and development programs onsite and through a variety of e-Learning platforms
  • Join our Janitorial Associates and Team Lead in preparing, cleaning, and maintaining our client’s facility.

  • Participate and contribute to ongoing learning and development programs onsite and through a variety of e-Learning platforms.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 3 years of janitorial or custodial experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a client-centric environment.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a proven track record of exceeding client expectations within constantly changing priorities.
  • Self-drive in meeting project deliverables, deadlines, and client expectations.
  • Positive, professional, safety oriented and client-centric attitude.
  • Proven experience as a collaborative Team player and leader.
  • Intermediate technology literacy with cell phones, computers, email and online applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Professional working proficiency of the English language.
  • The ability to speak and understand Spanish fluently is an asset.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Working knowledge of janitorial operations, best practices, and standard procedures.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, stand for long periods and lift and work with materials up to 55 lbs.
  • Posses a clear criminal record.
  • Ability to work overtime hours and on weekends to meet evolving operational needs.
