An international industrial company is currently seeking an experienced Japanese/English Bilingual Controller to join their facility in the Charlotte NC area. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years’ finance and management experience in a manufacturing and / or logistics-related environment. This is a full-time and direct hire position.

CONTROLLER REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Must be able to read, speak, and write in both Japanese and English at a business level
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting and management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• High-volume data management and analysis skills
• Good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and leadership ability in a multicultural environment
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

• Supervision of accounting department and associates
• Accounting functions including month and year-end reports, payroll, accounts payable / receivable, etc.
• Coordinate and perform financial audits with internal and external parties
• Participate in budget planning and cost forecasting
• Analysis of production, manpower, material costs, etc., and assist with plantwide budget preparation and forecasting
• Observation of company’s financial performance and identify areas of improvement
• Administration of financial reports and documentation in company ERP system(s)
• Assist with month-end close operations
• Other duties as assigned
