REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in Java backend development.
• Expertise in Apache Spark, including performance tuning and a thorough understanding of the framework.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Experience with Linux scripting.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Azure certifications are a plus.

Position: Java Backend Developer
Job Type: 6+ month contract with potential for extension or permanent hire
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite from Day 1)
We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with significant experience in Apache Spark to join our team. This role requires you to be proficient in backend development and have a deep understanding of the Spark ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java 8, Microservices, and Spring Boot.
• Work extensively with Apache Spark, including Apache SQL and other tools within the Spark ecosystem.
• Optimize and tune Spark applications for enhanced performance.
• Utilize your knowledge of a major Cloud Service Provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP) to build and deploy applications.
• Write and maintain Linux scripts.
