Job Description Position Title: Java Backend Developer Department: Software Engineering FLSA Type: Exempt Reports To: CTO Supervision Exercised: None Supervision Received: CTO or designee - Quarterly Position Scope: We are looking for Java Backend Developer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, Spring Framework, HL7 and FHIR api experience. Essential Functions: Java experience in working with HL7 data (experience with HAPI api is a plus) Help with integration via the HL7 and FHIR protocols Develop restful webservices in java Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the above integrations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful implementation. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Qualifications: An individual must be able to perform each Essential Function of the job satisfactorily. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science. 5+ years of experience in Java development. Strong understanding of HL7 data and FHIR api. Experience with Spring Framework (experience with Spring Batch framework is a plus). Experience with version control systems such as Git. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Must be able to exchange accurate information, with the ability to effectively utilize voice over internet protocol; and repetitive motions using fingers and forearms in data entry. Must reside within the contiguous United States.
