As a Mid-level Java Backend Engineer, you will contribute to the core of the data platform: robust and scalable backend services that process millions of traffic messages per day. You will develop event-driven microservices using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka, thereby making a direct contribution to reliable data products on a national scale.
Your focus is on the Dev in DevOps. You design, build, and maintain microservices that transform, enrich, and make traffic data available. Additionally, you contribute to discussions on data modeling, schema evolution, and architecture, and actively contribute to the continuous professionalization and technical direction of the platform.
Your duties at a glance:
You work with a modern event-driven stack in which Apache Kafka, Avro, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL play a central role. With this, you combine software engineering expertise with the challenge of real-time streaming data on a national scale.
What you bring:
Experience or knowledge of PostgreSQL in data-intensive applications, data modeling and schema evolution, caching solutions such as Apache Ignite, CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, observability tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry, authentication and security with OAuth2, JWT, and TLS, cloud-native patterns and distributed systems, and working with GIS data would be a plus.
