Description

Seeking an experienced Java engineer to design, build, and operate cloud-native microservices on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes. The role focuses on delivering resilient, observable, and secure services using Java frameworks, containerization, and Azure platform services. Ideal for someone comfortable with full lifecycle delivery, CI/CD, and platform automation. Key responsibilities Design and implement scalable Java microservices using frameworks such as Spring Boot or Micronaut. Containerize applications and manage deployments to Kubernetes (AKS) using Helm charts or Kubernetes manifests. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent) to automate build, test, and deploy workflows. Collaborate with platform and SRE teams to ensure reliability, autoscaling, rolling updates, and fast recovery. Implement observability: distributed tracing, metrics, and centralized logging (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK). Apply cloud-native best practices for security, secrets management, network policies, and least-privilege IAM. Implement infrastructure-as-code for provisioning and configuration (Terraform, Bicep, ARM). Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements. Mentor peers, participate in architecture reviews, and contribute to engineering standards and documentation. Required skills and experience Strong Java development experience (Java 8+), modern build tools (Maven/Gradle), and unit/integration testing. Proven experience with Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) or similar frameworks.
