IT Search has partnered with an established software company looking to add a Software Engineer to its engineering team. You’ll be involved in building reliable, scalable systems and supporting the performance of high-traffic applications. The role spans the full lifecycle from design to production, with plenty of scope to contribute to technical improvements across the team.




You’ll work on system architecture, automation, and observability efforts, helping to keep services running smoothly while taking ownership of key technical tasks when needed.




What you’ll be doing:

Designing and implementing features end to end using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices patterns
Improving system reliability, scalability, performance, and efficiency
Monitoring production systems, resolving issues, and helping prevent recurrence
Contributing to architectural discussions for distributed, highly available systems
Supporting performance optimisation and capacity planning
Working closely with other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions




What we’re looking for:

Degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience
3 to 5+ years’ software development experience with solid Java expertise
Strong understanding of microservices, data structures, and concurrency programming
Experience with distributed messaging, RPC frameworks, and containerised environments
Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins CI/CD, Jira, and Confluence
Clean, maintainable coding style and a structured problem-solving mindset
Comfortable working in a Linux environment
