POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position requires someone to be in a hybrid office work setting in either Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ, or Birmingham, AL.
We are seeking an Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain web applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in building HR applications. Proficiency in Java, J2EE, SQL is essential. Familiarity with version control systems (Git), and tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are key to success in this role. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and cloud platforms (such as Azure) would be an advantage.

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
Knowledge of computer development software, such as SQL, Java, J2EE, etc
Stakeholder Collaboration Skilled at working with cross-functional teams, including designers, back-end developers, and project managers, to align front-end solutions with business goals.
API Integration & Data Handling Experience with RESTful APIs, handling JSON data, and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
Tool Proficiency Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), Angular CLI, JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Agile Methodologies Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) with experience in managing backlogs, writing user stories, and participating in sprint planning.
Testing & Debugging Involvement in front-end testing, including unit testing (Jasmine, Karma), end-to-end testing, and debugging using browser developer tools.
Problem-Solving Skills Strong analytical mindset to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Angular applications, addressing both UI and performance-related issues.
Communication & Documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document component designs, create technical documentation, and present solutions to stakeholders..
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience as a Java/J2EE Developer with hands-on involvement in developing and deploying enterprise-scale web applications.
Proficiency in Java, J2EE, SQL
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify UI/UX issues, optimize performance, and implement effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts clearly.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
