PROJECT DESCRIPTION

  • In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling clients’ needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods.
  • You will be part of Global Markets Financing stream within Investment Banking division in Poland. The team is responsible for feature development, modernization and transformation of the platform used by both internal and external users.
  • The stream is spread across various locations, with the majority of presence in Poland (Krakow ) and India (Pune). Most of the pods are co-located.

SKILLS

Must have
Sound understanding with the ability to apply core and advanced Java concepts
Proven track record of enterprise-level application development for 5+ years
Hands-on experience with Java-related stack (Spring Framework, Hibernate)
Proven knowledge about messaging systems (any JMS, Apache Kafka).
Familiarity with at least one Version Control System, preferably Git
Extensive experience in writing tests (TDD, BDD)
Ability to write intermediate-level SQL queries (performance tuning, DB optimisation)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to have
Experience in the Financial services industry and understanding of financial projects
Experience with Agile mode of working
Familiarity with Cloud-based technologies
Familiarity with DevOps

Responsibilities

Write and test product development code
Apply core and advanced concepts to develop business solutions
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide architecture
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
Triage product or platform issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
Challenge vague requirements to gain clarity and avoid costly assumptions
