About the Job We are looking for developers into our ABS ( Allianz Business Solutions) LEBEN Team, that is responsible for developing and maintaining the software that handles life-related insurances all around the world. This software is used by more thousand users all around the world on a daily basis. We are in close cooperation with the German teams, so German language knowledge is more than welcome. If you would like to deepen your Java knowledge while working yourself into the insurance business, Your place is here. You will be working with modern methods, Java 17, Git, Eclipse, Junit, Scrum, Code Reviews and many more. Don’t worry, if You haven’t worked in the insurance branch before, as we have an online training to get you onboarded. All you need to bring is the solid development foundation and curiosity to learn new things. What you do Gather, analyze and check functional and technical requirements. Implementation of requirements in given technical design. Software development in agile teams and input to methods of software engineering. Develop, maintain, optimize and service software or application components. Ensure maintainability of developed software. Consideration of aspects: Performance, data security , IT security and ergonomics/usability in as part of software development Ensure operational stability of software and collaborate with business experts/analysts and designers. What you bring Completed studies in mathematics or (business) computer science (FH, BA) or comparable qualification Experience in the area of object-oriented application development and Experience with common development environments, test methods and software engineering tools (Eclipse, JUnit, Jira, etc.) Excellent XML & SQL knowledge, Very good knowledge of Linux and modern IT infrastructure Ability to work independently, high level of commitment, flexibility and resilience. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team Ability to independently execute tasks in non-standard (constantly changing) work situations, Problem solving skills based on own work experience as well as ability to analyze Quick grasp and conceptual, strategic as well as analytical working skills.
