Description
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer with a strong background in on-premise data processing technologies, especially Informatica PowerCenter. The ideal candidate should be passionate about data, have excellent command over database management, SQL, and performance tuning, and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams to deliver robust data solutions. Design, develop, and maintain data integration workflows using Informatica PowerCenter. Implement and optimize data models for both OLTP and analytical workloads. Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in ETL jobs and database queries. Collaborate with application teams and business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions. Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met throughout the data lifecycle. 4 + years of hands-on development experience with Informatica PowerCenter. Strong expertise in relational databases (preferably DB2), including schema design, complex SQL development, and performance tuning. Solid understanding of Data Architecture Principles, Data Governance, Data Strategy, Data Standards, Data Quality, and Data Modeling (both enterprise and dimensional models). Experience with designing and developing complex ETL mappings, including the use of various Informatica transformations (lookup, aggregator, router, joiner, etc.). Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. At least 4+ years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role. Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake. Experience with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python) for automating data cleansing, transformation, or workflow orchestration. Familiarity with popular Python libraries for data (e.g., Pandas, Numpy). Knowledge of one popular Python framework (Flask, Django, etc.). Experience working with data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Tableau). Awareness of modern data warehousing and big data concepts.
