JAVA ENGINEER | PAYMENTS PLATFORM | CLOUD-NATIVE PROJECT

We are looking for an experienced Java Engineer to join a highly skilled team working on a mission-critical payments platform for a major financial institution. This long-term assignment offers a chance to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, contribute to the real-time processing of millions of transactions per day, and shape the future of instant and SEPA payments across Europe.
This is a hybrid role, where you will join a team passionate about engineering excellence, innovation, and impact at scale.

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing backend and API components of the Order Manager as a Platform (OMaaP) – the engine managing payment orders, status tracking, execution routing, and API integrations for multiple European entities. You’ll be working in a DevOps team, expected to automate everything, support production systems, and deliver high-quality solutions in Agile sprints.

You’ll:

• Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable APIs
• Build integrations with payment engines, external systems, and cloud environments
• Take part in continuous integration and deployment using modern DevOps pipelines
• Contribute to system monitoring, stability, and troubleshooting in production

The tech stack includes Java 11+, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Kafka, Cassandra, Elastic, and Docker.
