JOB SUMMARY

As a Java Programmer you will provide programming knowledge and skills in the development and enhancement of MNIT partnering with DCYF (MNIT DCYF) applications by utilizing Java programming skills and the effective use of Object-Oriented technologies and tools.
This position will perform program modifications to meet customer objectives as well as optimize system performance. This position requires the ability to work independently or with other developers to create and support program applications within the division.
This position will work with the supervisor, technical architects, other technical leads and various business units and analysts to ensure that organizational goals and requirements are met.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Position requires a minimum of one (1) year of IT related experience in object oriented programming.

Experience must include:

  • Object Oriented programming skill using Java or other similar languages.
  • Experience using an integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse or Delhi
  • Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
  • Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

An associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for one (1) year of experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Cloud computing technologies such as Azure, AWS
  • Java programming experience using Eclipse or other similar IDE
  • IBM CLM toolset experience
  • Agile methodologies
