Description
Java Software Engineer - Compliance Department: Engineering Employment Type: Full Time Location: Prague Compensation: Kč1,435,600.00 - Kč1,635,600.00 / hour Description Trading Technologies (TT) is scaling its next-generation Compliance platform — a modern, data-driven trade surveillance system used by financial institutions to detect market abuse and satisfy regulatory requirements. Our Prague-based engineering team will play a key role in delivering a fully modernised platform — focused on usability, speed, and real-time decision-making for compliance professionals. We are looking for a high-potential Java Developer to help build the next generation of our surveillance tools. This is a "learn-by-doing" role where you will be paired with senior mentors to work on massive datasets. You will help maintain our data ingestion pipelines and gain hands-on experience with the latest cloud and AI technologies. What Will You Be Involved With? Feature Development: Develop and test Java-based backend services for data ingestion and alerting. Data Maintenance: Write and optimize queries in Snowflake to ensure data integrity for our surveillance reports. Cloud Operations: Learn to deploy and monitor services using AWS tools and CI/CD pipelines. Support: Participate in code reviews and assist with L2 production support to understand system behavior. What Will You Bring to the Table? Java Foundation: 3–5 years of experience with Java and a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming. Database Knowledge: Strong SQL skills and an eagerness to learn Snowflake and NoSQL (DynamoDB). Analytical Mindset: A passion for working with "Big Data" and a desire to learn how AI is applied to financial compliance. Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Proactive Attitude: A "student of the game" mentality—ready to dive into complex documentation and ask the right questions. Experience in financial services, trading systems, or market surveillance, with an understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, MAR). What We Bring to the Table TT is a company in an exciting growth phase, having benefited from new ownership and investment over the last 5 years. A compelling suite of products, and plans for significant product development in 2026 and onwards. An established and mature core product offering, with a well known and well respected brand identity. A dynamic and positive company culture that fosters employee growth and rewards results.
