Ottawa Dance Centre School (ODCS) is a long-established dance training centre committed to artistic excellence and nurturing the next generation of dancers. We offer both recreational and pre-professional training programs, including our Intensive Program for dedicated young dancers.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Jazz and Contemporary Dance Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025–2026 season. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, creativity, and a passion for working with youth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience in jazz and/or contemporary dance
• Strong technical background and performance experience
• Knowledge of safe dance practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor dancers

• Teach jazz and/or contemporary dance classes to students ranging from children to advanced teens
• Create engaging class plans that balance technical training and artistry
• Provide constructive feedback and support student progress
• Maintain a professional, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with the artistic team on program development and performance opportunities
