Overview A lovely family in Cold Spring Harbor, NY is seeking an amazing and kind Nanny/Mother's Helper to assist in the care of their two children. The core of the schedule will be Monday through Friday, approximately 45 hours per week. Flexibility is essential. The schedule will vary week to week based on the family’s needs, with an emphasis on morning and evening coverage. Some days may begin earlier with a break during the day to balance hours. The role is a shared-care arrangement with a stay-at-home mother who is present and involved. The candidate should be comfortable working both alongside the mother and independently with the children when needed. The family is open to both live-in and live-out candidates. Live-in is strongly preferred, and a private cottage is provided. Occasional evenings or weekends may be requested with advance notice. Responsibilities Provide attentive care for a toddler (2.5 years) and infant (4 months) Work in partnership with the mother in a shared-care environment Confidently manage both children independently when needed Support daily routines including feeding, naps, and play Maintain organization of children’s areas and belongings Handle child-related laundry and light tidying Model and reinforce respectful behavior and manners Tidying kitchen and living spaces Cooking and light meal prep for the children Qualifications Calm, kind, and easygoing demeanor Collaborative and adaptable approach Experience in shared-care or mother’s helper roles preferred Strong communication skills Organized and proactive Requirements Minimum of 5 years of professional nanny experience Experience with infants and toddlers CPR and First Aid certification Legally authorized to work in the United States Flexibility with schedule Salary and Benefits $100,000++, plus overtime accordance with state law PTO Live-in accommodation includes a private, fully furnished cottage with separate entrance.
