KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 Years of experience
  • Preference certification in DSI, CPO, CPI, CPP

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Manage projects and budget for plant security (security systems, guard force, monitoring operators, escorts) supply chain security program, employee travel safety and security awareness programs, demonstrating cost/benefit while mitigating risks facilitating operations. Understanding of laws and regulations of Country and region.
  2. Maintain all security systems (EACS, CCTV, GPS Intrusion Alarms) tracked from the command center situated at the facility, ensuring safety of personnel, property, assets and raw materials as they move across the production stations ensuring their integrity throughout the manufacturing process (partnered with Supply Chain).
  3. Design and implement customized functions and responsibilities for security staff, as well as with contractors, security providers/suppliers. Maintain an annual assessment SQR (Security Quality Requirements of ABT Global Security) of the facility and to identify vulnerabilities corresponding remediations and prepare budget plan to implement them. Conduct periodic and as needed risk assessments to mitigate security risk from criminal activity to facility, employees, visitors. Collaborate with supply chain operations to ensure product and raw materials are secured properly.
  4. Manage projects as assigned and assist ongoing departmental projects as required. Conduct and support Global Security investigations as assigned related to suspect product theft, tampering, or counterfeit, of plant production related product.
  5. Maintain and update as necessary access control systems (EACS), Executive protection systems (alarms and GPS), vehicle and personnel security mobile apps/systems where applicable. Develop and expand as necessary the Geolocation system for the product protection and theft prevention.
  6. Audits – Ensure compliance with established Global Security procedures, policies as well as obtaining and sustaining pertinent certifications such as OEA, CTPAT, ISO28000 or any others that strengthen site physical security, supply chain security, or expedite the receipt of raw materials or export of finished product facilitating production and lowering inbound/outbound risks and shipping costs.
  7. Executive protection - Manage the employee travel safety program to include the direct oversight of secure in-country transportation for Corporate Officers, as well as other senior leadership/VIP visitors during their official stay in Queretaro.
  8. Serves as a primary communication liaison between facilities management, Global Security, key business stakeholders, on security or crisis management issues which can impact security or operations. Assume the Crisis Management Coordinator position on the Crisis Management Team.

Due to the new construction of the EP plant in Querétaro Mexico, security head for the site is required to implement security processes and maintain efficient security measures that safeguard personnel, property, assets, intellectual property and product integrity as well as Abbott reputation for this facility and planned expansions.
