Job Details: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm Pay: Up to $75k+ dependent upon experience Body Shop Estimator - Essential Duties Examines the damaged vehicle to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage. Estimates the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item. Review repair cost estimates with the body shop manager or foreman. In the event of a disagreement with the manager or foreman on the repair cost, arrange to have the damage appraised by another appraiser to resolve the situation. Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors. Evaluate the practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before the accident. Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss. Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations. Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities
The Body Shop Estimator examines damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage and estimates repair costs. They also prepare insurance forms and determine the feasibility of repairs versus replacements.
