JOB DESCRIPTION: JERKY SHACK ATTENDANT LOCATION: MONTGOMERY, TX, 77316 SKILLS: * Set up, prepare and maintain the BBQ station, always ensuring cleanliness and organization. * Expertly slice and serve a variety of smoked meats, including brisket, ribs, pulled pork, sausage, and chicken, according to guest orders. * Monitor and maintain proper temperatures of the smoker and meats to ensure food safety and quality. * Assist in the preparation of BBQ sauces, sides, and other menu items as needed. * Engage with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have about the menu. * Uphold company standards for portion control and presentation of dishes. * Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. * Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment. * Handle members charge accounts transactions accurately and efficiently. * Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, restocking supplies, and securing the premises. QUALIFICATIONS: * Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a BBQ or smokehouse environment. * Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and proper slicing techniques. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality. * Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. * Basic math skills for handling transactions and portion control. * Willingness to learn and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines. * Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). * Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced environment, including exposure to smoke and high temperatures. * Manual dexterity for slicing and serving meats with precision.
