JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Jewelry Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery, ensuring quality production, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires a strong understanding of Jewelry machine operations and the ability to read job sheets and technical drawings.

1. Machine Operation:

• Setup and Calibration: Setting up machines for specific tasks, which may involve loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment.

1. Jewelry Production Tasks:

• Drilling: Precisely drilling holes in jewelry mountings to accommodate stones or other components.
• Soldering: Joining metal pieces together using a soldering torch or iron.
• Polishing: Smoothing and polishing jewelry pieces to achieve a desired finish.
• Casting: In some cases, operating casting machines to create metal components.

1. Quality Control:

• Inspection: Examining finished pieces to ensure they meet specifications, using magnifying glasses or precision measuring instruments.
• Material Handling: Weighing and sorting scrap materials, and ensuring proper storage of tools and materials.
• Monitoring and Adjustment: Continuously observing the machine’s operation to ensure it’s functioning correctly and making minor adjustments to maintain accuracy and production standards.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving minor issues with the machinery, or escalating problems to maintenance or setup technicians when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 44 per week

Additional pay:

• Overtime pay
