JOB SUMMARY:
The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services necessary for dewatering, piling, and shoring operations. The role ensures timely procurement at the best possible cost and quality, in line with project specifications and timelines. This includes coordination with suppliers, project managers, engineers, and site teams.

Analyze project requirements and prepare procurement plans in coordination with project and engineering teams.
Forecast material and equipment needs based on project schedules and site demands.
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors for materials and equipment such as pumps, wellpoints, steel sheet piles, anchors, shoring systems, etc.
Maintain an updated supplier database, including pricing, delivery performance, and compliance records.
Tendering and Negotiation:
Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotations), evaluate technical and commercial offers, and negotiate terms.
Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and technical specifications.
Order Execution and Coordination:
Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Monitor delivery schedules and expedite where necessary to meet project deadlines.
Coordinate with logistics for import/export, customs clearance, and local deliveries.
Technical Review and Compliance:
Work with the engineering team to ensure purchased items meet project specifications and quality standards.
Review material submittals and coordinate with consultants or clients for approvals.
Cost Control and Reporting:
Monitor procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare procurement status reports, cost comparisons, and market analysis.
Documentation and Systems:
Maintain accurate and complete records of procurement activities.
