Overview: The job coach/ mentor is a dual position with guaranteed hours. As a job coach, you will provide one-on-one support assessing skills, providing training, assisting with workplace integration, and collaborating with employers to ensure successful job placement. As a mentor, you will provide guidance, advice, and support to individuals seeking personal, academic, or professional development. The mentor helps mentees set goals, develop skills, solve problems, and build confidence. Job Coach Key Responsibilities Support clients during onboarding and training at a job site Teach workplace skills (communication, time management, task completion) Monitor job performance and provide feedback Communicate with employers to address concerns and support accommodations Maintain records and reports on client progress Encourage independence and long-term job retention Mentor Key Responsibilities Provide guidance and advice based on experience and knowledge. Help mentees set realistic goals and create action plans. Offer constructive feedback on performance, ideas, and decisions. Support the mentee’s personal and professional development. Coordinate opportunities within the community and facilitate relationships. Encourage problem-solving and critical thinking. Monitor progress and help adjust goals when needed. Maintain confidentiality and trust in the mentoring relationship.
