About the Role Premier Community Supports is looking for a Job Coach to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities succeed in community employment. In this role, you’ll work directly with individuals at their job sites, providing hands-on support, skill development, and advocacy to help them build independence and confidence in the workplace. What You’ll Do As a Job Coach, you will support individuals in gaining and maintaining meaningful employment by: Providing 1:1 on-the-job coaching to assist with learning tasks, workplace communication, and job expectations Helping individuals develop independence, confidence, and problem-solving skills at work Identifying and implementing workplace accommodations and adaptations as needed Collaborating with employers, supervisors, and coworkers to ensure job success and inclusive work environments Coordinating with other service providers (behavioral, medical, etc.) to support the individual’s employment goals Monitoring progress and adjusting coaching strategies to promote job retention Maintaining accurate documentation of services, training activities, and progress in accordance with program requirements Supporting goals outlined in the Individual Support Plan (ISP) and Career Development Plan Building strong relationships with individuals served, employers, families, and community partners Reporting any suspected abuse, neglect, or mistreatment in accordance with agency policy What We Offer 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match after 90 days Paid training (including CPR/First Aid and other required certifications) Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual for both part-time and full-time DSPs; PTO cash-out option after 1 year No-cost health plan for DSPs working > 26 hours/pay period; dental & vision benefits for full-time DSPs after 6 months (50% employer paid) Pay Period: 1st and 16th of the month Requirements Qualifications & Abilities: We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, organized, and motivated to support others in achieving their employment goals. Passion for supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Comfort using basic remote work apps and documentation systems Ability to advocate for individuals while maintaining positive employer relationships Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in challenging situations Ability to communicate with people with different communication styles and abilities Commitment to person-centered practices and respectful communication Additional Skills: Ability to provide skills training and attendant care Ability to maintain detailed documentation using person-centered language Flexibility to work hours that align with individuals’ work schedules Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and carry up to 50 pounds Education & Experience: Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred Knowledge or experience with Individual Support Plans (ISP), person-centered planning, and positive behavior supports preferred Certifications & Requirements: Valid driver’s license Reliable transportation and current auto insurance Completion of 12 Job Coach core competency trainings within 30 days of hire Why Work With Premier At Premier Community Supports, we believe meaningful employment empowers people to live fuller, more independent lives.
