Responsibilities
  • Assess their readiness for work experience and identify life skills that need development.
  • The Job Coach assists youth with barriers to employment to obtain and maintain work experience opportunities.
  • Identify work experience goals and create an action plan to guide preparation.
  • Provide advice and support regarding hosting, orientation, and training for youth with barriers to employment while maintaining confidentiality for the individual.
  • Review the individual’s progress and determine any necessary adjustments to the level or type of support provided.
  • Work with community or work site hosts to customize opportunities for individuals, including identifying required accommodations.
