Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Job Cost Administrator role will include all aspects of job or project cost administration and other administrative duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Additional certification an asset.
  • Construction Industry revenue or cost accounting an asset.
  • Experience working with project managers, an asset
  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels of the Company.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Computer skills: MS Office and MS Outlook. (Excel, Jonas an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to learn quickly, and adapt to change

Responsibilities
  • Focus on job costing and invoicing.
  • Cost files and prepare for invoicing.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system.
  • Produce real time project cost information, e.g., time & material and committed vs. billed
  • Provide contract status updates to management
  • Provide accurate work-in-progress reports for financial reporting purposes
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with project managers
  • Monitor project costs and match to revenue
  • Analyze job performance paying special attention to under-performing jobs
  • Co-ordinate invoicing with Project Managers and Coordinators
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Perform various administrative functions and other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Cross training in other functions as needed.
