Start date: September 22, 2025
End Date: March 27, 2026
The wage for this position is Level V, Step 1 ($28.99/hour) for external candidates and at a Step related to years of service at KEYS for internal candidates, for 35 hours/week. POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of the Job Developer for Opportunities Fund is to help candidates prepare for the labour market and place candidates in job opportunities appropriate to their goals. The Job Developer cultivates new employer contacts and maintains positive relationships with new and existing employer partners.

THIS IS A SPECIALIST POSITION, WHICH WILL FOCUS ON RECRUITING EMPLOYERS OFFERING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.

The Job Developer will meet one-to-one with clients and conduct research into current and future job openings in order to make appropriate placement matches. The Job Developer will support and monitor clients on placement and be responsible for remaining current on specialized supports and assistive devices, general labour market information: salaries, working conditions, etc. They will, under the direction of their supervisor, effectively maintain referred caseloads and meet all activities and targets and milestones of the designated program area(s).

QUALIFICATIONS:

a. Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources/Teaching or Business Administration/Marketing or combination of education and relevant work experience
b. Minimum of three years coaching & job development/marketing
c. Strong marketing and presentation skills
d. Proven ability to develop partnerships and facilitate meetings
e. Excellent communication skills: strong, confident presentation/facilitation skills
f. Proficiency in English. Fluency in French is an asset.
