JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Developer, Full-Time, Permanent

SUMMARY

The individual in this position will, identify potential employers and employment opportunities,
provide employers and clients with individualized employment placement services and assistance,
and research employment market labour trends. They will recruit new employers who have the
capacity to hire, provide information on our programs/services, sell the benefits of working with
Nokee Kwe over the competition, match Nokee Kwe job seeking clients with external employment
opportunities and seek opportunities for Nokee Kwe clients, complete required paperwork in a timely
manner, and on occasion, conduct intakes.
Eligible candidates must have a valid drivers license and insured vehicle and be willing to travel London and surrounding area.

Responsibilities

 Maintain, strengthen, and prospect existing and new employers
 Work with Counselling staff, employers, and job seekers to effectively match employment
opportunities
 Meet with clients (job seekers and employers) on a regular basis
 Provide timely, on-the-job support to employers/clients on placement
 Negotiate volunteer placements
 Produce effective documentation, and maintain hard/electronic copies of
notes/files/correspondence
 Complete reports and all manner of paperwork in a timely manner
 Negotiate subsidy programs with employers
 Maintain monitoring schedule for placement follow-up and financial incentives
 Work with the team to ensure financial/fiscal responsibility with regard to travel claims,
employer/client funds, and program/project funds
 Conduct work site visits as per EO guidelines
 Take, process, and promote/advertise job orders
 Reconcile employer claims/subsidies
 Assist with writing contracts and training plans for placements
 Job Develop/Advocate for clients
 Conduct practice interview with clients and review resumes/cover letters
 Utilize Nokee Kwe processes when working with clients/employers
 Attend and actively participate in staff meetings/Case Conferences
 Maintain statistics/logs on activities
 Meet targets as assigned
 Actively market agency programs/services and participate in community events as approved
 Coordinate job fairs
 Facilitate workshops when necessary
 Keep current on labour market trends/information and provide value added information to
clients/employers
 Adhere to privacy legislation and Nokee Kwe confidentiality policies in all aspects of work, as
well as all other Nokee Kwe policies/procedures
