Description Location: The Dalles, OR (Wasco County) About Premier Community Supports Premier Community Supports, LLC hires Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who provide high-quality, person-centered care to Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities through in-home and community-based services, including day programs, positive behavior supports, and 24-hour residential assistance. About the Role At Premier Community Supports, we’re committed to empowering individuals to achieve meaningful, integrated employment. As an Job Developer, you’ll make a direct impact by supporting job seekers to build confidence, secure employment, and thrive in the workplace. Job Development Build positive relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities. Assist individuals with completing applications and preparing for interviews. Attend interviews alongside individuals for encouragement and support. Facilitate discussions with employers around job responsibilities and workplace expectations. Support individuals exploring self-employment, including basic business planning and start-up guidance. Job Coaching & Support Provide hands-on coaching to help individuals learn job tasks and routines. Identify and implement workplace adaptations or accommodations. Coordinate with residential, transportation, and natural support networks to ensure success. Work closely with other support professionals (behavioral, medical, etc.). Help individuals build strong communication and professional relationships with supervisors and coworkers. Promote workplace integration through natural supports and gradual fading of job coaching. Assist in career advancement efforts (increased hours, raises, promotions, etc.). Offer on-the-job attendant care as needed. Physical & Work Environment Reasonable accommodations provided as needed. Occasional lifting/moving up to 10 lbs. Work may occur in community, employer worksites, and off-site locations.
