Location: Grande Prairie, AB/surrounding region
Temporary/Permanent: Temporary position, ending December 31, 2025
Hours of Work: 35 hours/week Monday to Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Salary: $45,000-50,000 / year

EmployAbilities Grande Prairie is looking for a Job Developer. This is a hybrid position, with work hours split between a home-based office, out in the community, and in the Grande Prairie office as needed. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities or barriers. This position involves promoting client employment by raising awareness among employers, establishing working relationships with employers, supporting clients in securing meaningful employment, and staying informed about the local labor market.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • Diploma/Certificate in related field (Marketing, Human Resources, etc)
  • Required to have a valid class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle or reliable public transportation.
  • Clear criminal record check (including vulnerable sector check)

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge and understanding of database programs an asset.
  • Proficiency with Virtual Meeting platforms (Teams, Google Meets, etc.)

JOB EXPERTISE/EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in marketing/promotions and/or human resources an asset
  • Previous experience in intake and assessment, case management, adult workshop facilitation, employment counselling considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working with persons with disabilities or other at-risk populations preferred.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

OTHER DUTIES

  • Update and maintain the Employer/Client Data Base.
  • Share employer contact information with other staff within the Agency, including other program Job Developers, Employment Coaches, Case Managers
  • Embody Agency values: compassion, collaboration, innovation, integrity, and inclusiveness.
  • Undertake special tasks, research, projects and other assignments within the Agency, as required and approved by the Supervisor
