Job Title: On-Road Heavy Duty Mechanic (Rotation – Inuvik)
Location: Inuvik, NT (Rotation: 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off)
Job Type: Full-time, Rotation

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled On-Road Heavy Duty Mechanic to work on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation in Inuvik, Northwest Territories. This role requires travel, with flights provided, accommodations supplied, and a daily meal per diem covered.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with fuel truck, trailer, and heavy-duty on-road equipment maintenance and repair, as well as the ability to respond to road service calls. Safety, reliability, and efficiency are critical in this remote rotational position.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Journeyman or 4th Year Heavy Duty Mechanic certification preferred.
  • Experience with fuel truck and trailer repair and maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting and field repairs.
  • Welding skills are an asset.
  • Ability to work in a remote/rotation-based environment.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair on-road trucks, trailers, and fuel tankers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing on fuel trucks and trailers.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Respond to on-road service calls and perform mobile breakdown repairs.
  • Test-drive and operate equipment to confirm repairs and servicing.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Follow all company and safety protocols while on rotation.
