Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Cost Accountant

REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experiences

  • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Hands-on experience with product costing, bill of materials (BOMs), and inventory accounting.
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting and monthly close processes.

Other

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Committed to reliability, accuracy, and meeting team goals.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct BOM (Bill of Material) updates and cost roll-ups, including maintaining and setting up inventory parts, product structures, manufacturing routing processes, and compound structures.
  • Monitor and analyze the Fiscal Business Plan against actual expenses, equipment/tooling investments, and inventory levels; prepare and submit detailed reports to headquarters.
  • Maintain accurate records for customer-owned tooling and the vendor master list.
  • Manage fixed asset records and calculate depreciation using SAGE fixed asset software.
  • Participate in the monthly financial close process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare various internal management reports to support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Assist internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
  • Support the quarterly consolidation reporting process to the parent company, Sumitomo Riko.
  • Execute special projects related to cost planning, ERP system enhancements, and other areas as necessary.
