Advocate Printing & Publishing is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a Jogger at our print production facility located at 181 Brown’s Point Road, Pictou, Nova Scotia. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate must have the ability to follow precise procedures, possess excellent hand and eye co-ordination, effectively communicate, and work well with others.

• Previous experience in a printing plant or production environment will be considered an asset, however, willing to train an enthusiastic, dedicated, career-oriented individual

• Perform work in coordination with the press team members to ensure proper press operations
• Ensure press person reviews and approves any changes that affect customer products
• Clean and maintain jogging and press areas continually to ensure a clean and safe work area
• Perform routine maintenance on the press with press team members as required to maintain press functionality.
• Check printed products for obvious quality problems such as fold, bunch, count, or anything else that would detract from product quality. Notify Press Operator of any quality defects.
• Ensure adequate supplies are available in the immediate work area to perform jogging work, such as pallets, banding/strapping materials, container boxes, labels, etc. Notify press crew or material handlers of shortages so that more supplies can be obtained timely for press operations to be maintained.
• Work effectively in a team-oriented environment to ensure and maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity throughout the production shift
• Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards
