SlashData is a market research company specialising in market research for developer audiences since 2005. We work with leading global technology companies, including Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Meta.
We are seeking an advisor to join our Board of Advisors and support our strategic transformation as we expand beyond the software developer space into new industries and audiences.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience as VP - level experience as a buyer or seller of market research services, preferably having worked with or within major market research firms.
  • A deep understanding of market research industry standards and best practices.
  • Proven experience in helping businesses expand into new markets and sectors.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge conventional approaches.
  • An understanding of client needs in market research and what drives research vendor selection.
  • Ability to ask the right questions and probe into answers that will move the needle for SlashData expansion
Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Offer insights and recommendations on expanding into new industries and audiences, leveraging your market research expertise.
  • Industry Expertise: Advise on best practices and trends within the market research field, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Client-Centric Innovation: Help us maintain a client-first perspective, driving innovative approaches to meet and exceed client needs.
  • Competitive Positioning: Support our efforts to compete effectively with the larger market research brands, ask the right questions and probe into answers that will move the needle for expansion.
  • Process Improvement: Advise on the economics and processes of running a research business, ie. what are the best practices for running a research business.
  • Board Engagement: Actively participate in board meetings, strategic planning sessions, and other key discussions.
