About the Role: Global Consulting Sustainability (GCS) AS is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage existing research projects and grants while supporting the development of new R&I (Research & Innovation) programmes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project management, research proposal development, and a passion for sustainability and industrial processes. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment and contribute to impactful research projects in the sustainability space.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Background: A PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Sciences) or a Master’s degree with extensive experience in the research and project management domain.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing EU R&I projects.
Competence in project management and control.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
Strong organizational and reporting skills, with an understanding of project management tools and techniques.
Experience with intellectual property management and dissemination activities.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Previous experience in sustainability assessments, especially in the field of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and sustainability of industrial processes, will be considered a plus.
Experience working with EU regulations and compliance for research projects.
Understanding of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data principles.
Knowledge of Scandinavian languages is a plus (but not a requirement).

Project Management: Lead and manage ongoing R&I projects by attending project meetings, working on deliverables, maintaining regular communication with partners, and representing the company in key internal and external meetings.
R&I Proposal Development: Be part of a team in developing new R&I proposals for new projects funded by the industry or other platforms and programmes at national, European and international level.
EU Research and Grants Management: Experience in navigating the EU research funding landscape and managing grants processes is highly desirable. The role involves a significant focus on EU-funded research projects, ensuring that all processes align with EU standards and regulations.
Team Coordination and Communication: Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely updates and reporting on project progress. Organize dissemination events and campaigns to share research outcomes and enhance visibility.
Travel Requirements: The candidate will be required to travel occasionally for meetings, workshops, and conferences.
