POSITION SUMMARY

An exciting opportunity has become available at The Vicarage.
The housekeeping assistant plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for our residents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and sanitising: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas and corridors, ensuring the home meets hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Laundry duties: Manage the washing, drying, ironing and distribution of linens and residents’ personal laundry, ensuring everything is clean and in good condition.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed, including, fire protocols, moving & handling and infection control measures. Ensure cleaning materials are used correctly and effectively. Ensure that any malfunction or damage to equipment or fittings are reported to management.
  • Resident Interaction: Respect residents’ personal space, offering a friendly and considerate approach when cleaning their rooms or shared spaces.
  • Supplies management: Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when stocks are low, ensuring supplies are always adequate.
  • Special cleaning projects: Assist with deep-cleaning tasks and other special projects as directed by the housekeeping supervisor or management team.
