About the Role
This is your opportunity to create your own work schedule as an Early Childhood Substitute Teacher or Assistant Teacher. Choose the days and hours that work for you each week! We’re looking for passionate ECE Teachers who can bring their skills to our partner childcare centers and preschools across the Twin Cities area. Whether you have experience with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, STEM, or traditional early childhood education, we want to connect with you!
What You’ll Do

Keep Children Safe and Happy:

• Protect children’s physical, emotional, and social well-being with attentive, caring supervision.
• Support routines like mealtime, naps, and diaper changes, ensuring comfort and consistency.
• Create a safe, clean, and organized environment, following all protocols.

Help Classrooms Thrive:

• Partner with Center Directors and staff to keep the day running smoothly, stepping into activities and routines.
• Assist with classroom setup, clean-up, meal prep, and activity organization, helping centers run efficiently.

Foster Positive Connections:

• Engage with children in a nurturing way, supporting their social and emotional growth.
• Model positive social skills and foster inclusion through gentle guidance.
• Work closely with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and collaborative environment.

Document, Grow, and Make a Difference:

• Support record-keeping and documentation of each child’s progress and milestones.
• Seek professional growth and stay on top of trends in early childhood education.

Compensation:
$16.25-$22 per hour

• Flexible schedule – no nights or weekends. Work between 7:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday.

• Please note that we are unable to provide personal childcare while you are working, as we are a substitute staffing service providing support to our partner childcare centers in the area.

Schedule Options:

• 10-hour shifts
• 8-hour shifts
• Day shifts
• Self-determined weekly schedule
• Expected hours: 16-40 hrs. per week

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree + experience (Teacher qualified) / Partial completion or current enrollment + experience (Assistant Teacher qualified)
